The NSS Unit of L. D. Arts College organised an Orientation Programme for New NSS Volunteers on 9th August 2026 at L. D. Arts College, with the participation of more than 250 students.
The Chief Guest, Shri B. A. Rohit Sir, In-charge Principal and Head of the Gujarati Department, addressed the volunteers and encouraged them towards active participation in NSS. The programme was graced by Programme Officers Dr. N. P. Verma Sir and Dr. Babubhai Desai Sir, along with Dr. Chinmay Desai Sir, former NSS volunteer and currently serving as a Professor of Psychology.
The event included the inauguration of the NSS Office, insightful addresses by the dignitaries and senior volunteers, and the screening of a documentary showcasing the various NSS activities and initiatives.
Cultural performances, including dance, further added enthusiasm to the programme.
Overall, the orientation gave the new volunteers an engaging introduction to the values, activities, and spirit of NSS, motivating them to actively participate in future social-service initiatives.
