The students of L. D. Arts College, Ahmedabad actively participated in the Mega Tree Plantation Programme held on 12 July 2026 at Bhadaj, near Science City, Ahmedabad. The programme was organised as part of a large-scale government-supported plantation campaign aimed at increasing the green cover of Ahmedabad.
On the day of the event, a government bus arrived at the college to take the participating students to the plantation site. After reaching Bhadaj, the students saw a huge area prepared for the plantation drive, where students and other participants had gathered with great enthusiasm.
The plantation was carried out in a well-organised manner, and when the buzzer rang, everyone started planting the saplings together. It was a unique and memorable experience to see so many people working at the same time for a greener environment.
The students of L. D. Arts College participated with great energy and a sense of responsibility towards nature. After completing the plantation activity, they were sent back to the college in the same government bus in the evening.
The programme was a meaningful experience that highlighted the importance of trees, environmental protection and collective responsibility. Overall, the participation of L. D. Arts College students in the Mega Tree Plantation Programme was successful and memorable.
