The College Women Development Cell (CWDC) of L. D. Arts College organized a Guest Lecture on 11th September 2025, delivered by the eminent gynecologist Dr. Sweta Saxena. The lecture was attended by more than 100 girl students and proved to be highly informative and insightful.
The programme began with an introductory address by the Principal and Chairman of CWDC, Dr. M. D. Chavda, who emphasized the significance of CWDC in the college and highlighted its objectives and goals in promoting the overall well-being of girl students.
This was followed by Dr. Saxena’s lecture, which focused on various critical aspects of women’s health. She discussed in detail the implications and complications of gynecological issues, raising awareness about medical disorders affecting women, and the rising incidence of cervical cancer along with the importance of its vaccination. She also elaborated on advanced medical technologies such as IUI and IVF, issues related to Thalassemia, infertility, and hormonal disorders, providing students with valuable knowledge and practical guidance.
The lecture concluded with an interactive session, during which Dr. Saxena addressed students’ queries and offered suggestions on preventive health care and lifestyle modifications.
The programme ended with a formal vote of thanks. The event was well-coordinated, and all members of the CWDC contributed to its successful organization.
