The Department of Psychology, L. D. Arts College, Ahmedabad, organised an expert lecture on 25 August 2026 on the topic “The Neuroscience of Mental Health: Insights from Psychiatry.” The programme was designed to provide students with in-depth knowledge about the relationship between neuroscience and mental health.
The chief speaker for the event was Dr. Darshan Dharia, MD specialist from Hospital for the Mental, Delhi Darwaja. Dr. Dharia delivered an informative and engaging address in which he provided valuable insights into mental health and the functioning of the brain. He explained key concepts from psychiatry and shed light on how neuroscience contributes to our understanding of mental health conditions.
The lecture was highly appreciated by the students, who found it both knowledgeable and engaging. It enhanced their understanding of the scientific basis of mental health and encouraged them to explore the field further.
