DESCRIPTION:એલ. ડી. આર્ટ્સ કોલજ\, અમદાવાદ માં ૨૮ માર્ચ ૨૦૨૪ નાં રોજ\, સમગ્ર વર્ષ દરમ્યાન વિવિધ કાર્યક્રમો માં વિજેતા થયેલા \nવિદ્યાર્થીઓ ને ઈનામ વિતરણ કાર્યક્રમ રાખવામાં આવ્યો છે. જેમાં ૧૭૫ જેટલા વિદ્યાર્થીઓ ને વિવિધ સાંસ્કૃતિક\, રમત-ગમત\, શૈક્ષણિક કાર્યો\, NSS\, NCC \, વિદ્યાર્થી મંડળ\, સાથે જેને સમગ્ર સેમેસ્ટર દરમ્યાન ૧૦૦% હાજરી હતી\, તેવા વિદ્યાર્થીઓ ને મેડલ\, સર્ટીફીકેટ\, કીટ આપીને પ્રોત્સાહિત કરવામાં આવ્યા હતા.\n \nઆ કાર્યક્ર્મ નું આયોજન એલ. ડી. આર્ટ્સ કોલેજ ના આચાર્યશ્રી ડો. મહિપતસિંહ ચાવડા સાહેબની  આગેવાની હેઠળ કરવામાં આવ્યું હતું. જેમાં ૨૮ માર્ચ નાં રોજ મુખ્ય મહેમાન તરીકે ડૉ. શ્રીરામ નીરલેકર સાહેબ\, કે જે અમદાવાદ એજયુકેશન સોસાયટી નાં એકેડેમીક ડાયરેક્ટર\nઉપસ્થિત રહી ને વિદ્યાર્થીઓ ને ઉત્સાહ પૂરો પાડ્યો છે.\n \nL. D.  Arts College\, Ahmedabad on 28 March 2024\, A prize distribution program for the winners in various programs throughout the year has been held for the students. In which about 175 students were encouraged by giving medals\, certificates\, kits to students who had 100% attendance throughout the semester\, along with various cultural\, sports\, educational activities\, NSS\, NCC\, & student body.\n \nIn which on March 28 as the chief guest\, Dr.  Shriram Nerlekar Sir\, who is the Academic Director of Ahmedabad Education Society Being present and provided enthusiasm to the students.\n \nThis program was organized and done under the leadership and guidance by the Principal of L. D. Arts College\, Dr. Mahipatsinh Chawda Sir.

DESCRIPTION:એલ. ડી. આર્ટ્સ કોલજ\, અમદાવાદ નો તારીખ ૨૭ માર્ચ ૨૦૨૪ નાં રોજ વાર્ષિક સાંસ્કૃતિક કાર્યક્રમ ટાગોર હૉલ\, પાલડી ખાતે યોજવામાં આવ્યો હતો. \nઆ કાર્યક્રમ માં વિદ્યાર્થીઓ દ્વારા વિવિધ સાંસ્કૃતિક પ્રદર્શન દ્વારા મનોરંજન પૂરું પાડ્યું હતું\, અને વિદ્યાર્થીઓ ને આનંદ કરાવ્યો હતો.\nજેમાં ૩૦ જેટલા વિવિધ પ્રદર્શનો કરી ને વિદ્યાર્થીઓ એ આનંદ કર્યો હતો.\n \nઆ કાર્યક્ર્મ નું આયોજન એલ. ડી. આર્ટ્સ કોલેજ ના આચાર્યશ્રી ડો. મહિપતસિંહ ચાવડા સાહેબની આગેવાની હેઠળ\, સાંસ્કૃતિક સમિતિ દ્વારા કરવામાં આવ્યું હતું. જેમાં ૨૭-માર્ચ નાં રોજ મુખ્ય મહેમાન તરીકે અમદાવાદ એજ્યુકેશન સોસાયટી નાં પૂર્વ ડાયરેક્ટર શ્રી. બી. એમ. શાહ સાહેબ અને ચીફ ફાઇનાન્સ ઓફિસર શ્રી સંજય પટણી સાહેબ ઉપસ્થિત રહ્યા હતા અને આશીર્વચન આપી ને વિદ્યાર્થીઓ ને માર્ગદર્શન પૂરું પાડ્યું હતું.\nAnnual Cultural Program of L. d. Arts College\, Ahmedabad was held on 27 March 2024 at Tagore Hall\, Paldi\, Ahmedabad.\n \nThe program provided entertainment through various cultural performances by the students\, and made the students happy.\nIn which about 30 different dance\, music\, theatre were performed by the students.\n \nIn which as a chief guest of this festival the former director of Ahmedabad Education Society Shri B. M. Shah sir and Chief Finance Officer Shri Sanjay Patni Sir were present and gave blessings\, encouragement and guidance to the students.\n \nThis program was organized under the leadership of the principal of L. D. Arts College Dr. Mahipatsinh Chawda Sir and successfully managed by the Cultural Committee.

The participants were present twice a week and learnt the essence of all the 18 chapters along with the correct pronunciation of the verses of 12th chapter of Geeta. \nOutcome: Participants learnt the inner sense of the whole Geeta and the pronunciation of the 12th chapter.

It was a magnificent experience.\nThen we headed to our last stop. Amul chocolate factory\, we witnessed making of chocolate chips and almond.\n\nOutcome of the Activity/Event: \n\nAmul is the largest milk cooperative society in the world and we learned how it operates so efficiently and for the good of the farmer for so many years now.\nAt NDDB we got the Know so many things about many experiments and mission that are going on for improving the quality of live stock and to increase the milk productivity.

SUMMARY:Field Trip to Polo Forest
DESCRIPTION:Name of department: GEOGRAPHY \nName of activity/event: Field Trip and Report Writing \nDate on which activity/event was conducted: 09-02-2023 \nProfessor (s) in-charge: Dr. Aditi Ashia and Rajveer Sisodiya \nPlace where the activity was conducted: Idar and Polo Forest \nDetails of the activity: On way to the lush green topography of the Polo Forest\, we reached the senile boulder topography of the Idar hills\, with the historical Fort atop\, popularly known as the Idariyo Gadh. It provided a wonderful trekking experience to the students. Polo Forest situated around 150 km from Ahmedabad and 40 km from Idar city on the border of Gujarat and Rajasthan. River Harnav is main lifeline of Polo forest. The 400 square km area of dry mixed deciduous forest is most lush between August to December. The landscape appeared a bit open on winter day. Ancient temples like Jain derasar\, Surya Mandir and Sarneshwar temple having rich heritage and architectural marvel are located inside forest. A small dam inside forest – Harnav dam on Harnav river is another attraction inside the forest. The students had a wonderful experience of trekking over the ancient topography\, relict hills that have withstood the factors of weathering over the eons. \nOutcome of the activity/event: The students had an opportunity to observe the geographically varied topography and natural environment in the north-eastern corner of Gujarat State. Besides Geography\, the students could also enrich their knowledge of History and Heritage of state. SARITA SHUKLA \nPlace where the Activity was conducted: College Auditorium \n Details of the Activity: The College Women Development Cell of the L.D.Arts. College Ahmedabad hosted and organized a very successful programme on awareness of women reproductive system\, health related issues\, nutrition and programme on awareness of women reproductive health related Issues nutrition and deficiency in women 2nd February 2023. The programme started with an enlightened speech by the coordinator\, the head of our College\, the Principal Dr. MahipatSinh Chavda sir; The lecture wan given by Dr Manoranjanaben Shah\, a Well-known gynaecologist\, Arunaben Chandrakan\, an expert in Nutrition and Nchalben Luhan. The whole programme was conducted by Dr Sarita Shukla. The opening remarks and introduction of the programme was given by the Principal. He highlighted on the awareness regarding safety of the girls\, their problems and solution\, issues regarding physical illness and its impact on the Study. He also described the importance of self-defence for the girls.\nDr Manoranjana Shah\, a well-known Gynaecologist in B.J.Medical College presented an interactive session with the students and on reproductive system\, menopause\, issues and post menopause issues and problems. She gave a detailed knowledge on the hormonal changes in the girls\, hygiene\, HIV\, STD\, Anaemia. \nNehaben Luthar\, a programme officer of Family Planning Association gave information regarding reproductive health\, problem of precautions. Anaemia\, teenage pregnancy and precautions. \nArunaben Chandrakaran a Nutrition Expert also gave lecture on nutrition deficiency in girts\, guidance on diet chart. \nAt the end there was personal advice and Counselling done to more than 30 girls about then health issues. Interactive session in the form of question and answers were very informative to all the participants. \n Outcome of the Activity/Event: Medical Advice and personal counselling done to many girl students of the college.

Panda \nPlace where the activity was conducted: L. D. Arts College \nDetails of activity: Since 2006\, The department of Sanskrit has been celebrating Geeta Jayanti Samarambha to encourage the youngsters to do their duties well according to the advice of Geeta. During these 17 years\, thousands of college students have participated in this socio-cultural event containing two state level competitions – one is Geeta Elocution Competition and another is Geeta Recitation Competition. On 30th January 2023\, 37 students in Geeta Elocution and 38 students in Geeta Recitation took part actively. This year Smt. Jayaben Shivprasad Dave Vijay Padma went to BAPS Sanskrit Mahavidyalay\, Sarangpur. \nOutcome of the Activities/Event: Students learnt to perform their duties well. Students got by heart the verses of various chapters of Geeta.

In an era dominated by digital communication\, poetry often remains underutilized and underestimated. However\, its potential to convey profound insights into human experience and nature is unparalleled. \nPoetry\, considered one of the highest genres of literature\, boasts a rich history spanning several millennia. It is a form of artistic expression that combines beauty\, intensity\, and an ideal fusion of thought and emotion. The poet\, equipped with unusual sensitivity and insight\, possesses the ability to articulate thoughts in a beautiful and romantic manner\, thereby delighting and instructing the audience. \nKavya Yagya Season 2: The event\, aptly named Kavya Yagya\, is a testament to the college’s commitment to promoting unity in diversity. The festival featured poetry recitations in languages such as English\, Sanskrit\, Hindi\, Gujarati\, Bengali\, Kannada\, Malayalam\, Marathi and many others. This multilingual approach emphasized the college’s vision of bringing together varied languages\, cultures\, and nations under one creative umbrella. \nKavya Yagya Season 2 followed the success of its predecessor\, Kavya Yagya Season 1\, which took place from October 17-13\, 2021. The inaugural event witnessed the participation of 47 poets from 35 countries\, drawing attention from both print and electronic media. The resounding success of the first season inspired the organizers to continue this literary celebration\, providing a platform for poets from diverse backgrounds. \nThe Yagya Concept: The term “Kavya Yagya” was carefully chosen to symbolize the essence of the event. Much like a yagya\, or ritualistic offering\, where offerings are made to a sacred fire\, Kavya Yagya involved the poetic ‘ahutis’ (offerings) of numerous poets and creative individuals. It was a collective endeavor to create an atmosphere of artistic devotion\, fostering a sense of unity among poets irrespective of linguistic or cultural differences. \nOutcome of the Activity/Event : \nKavya Yagya Season 2 was more than a festival; it was a celebration of the universal language of poetry. Recognizing the opportune moment when academicians and students could dedicate substantial time to research\, the Statistics department of L.D. Arts College\, in collaboration with Grand Academic Portal (GAP)\, orchestrated a Faculty Development Programme (FDP) titled “Exploring Infinities; Theories and Praxis of Social Science Research” from the 15th to the 22nd of September 2022. \nThe FDP aimed to cater to the needs of academicians across various disciplines\, extending beyond Statistics. In a time where statistical research demanded a firm grasp of foundational statistical knowledge\, research techniques\, and tools\, the FDP sought to bridge these gaps. The event unfolded in an online format\, facilitating the participation of 64 individuals from diverse domains. The participants gleaned valuable insights from expert talks delivered by renowned resource persons\, making the sessions highly interactive and engaging. Upon the successful completion of the FDP\, participants were duly recognized with digital certificates. \nOutcome of the Activity/Event: The impact of the FDP extended beyond the realm of Statistics\, reaching participants from various disciplines. DESCRIPTION:Name of Department: GEOGRAPHY \nName of activity/event: Field Trip and Report Writing \nDate on which activity/event was conducted: 06/02/2020 \nProfessor (s) in-charge: K J Patel and Rajveer Sisodiya \nPlace where the activity was conducted: Sardar Sarovar Dam Site\, Statue of Unity and Nilkanth Dham\, Poicha\, (Narmada river banks) \nDetails of the activity: The students of the Department were taken on a visit to the Sardar Sarovar Dam Site. The students were fascinated to see the largest dam of the state\, and one of the largest dams in the country. This dam came up first and then came the Statue of Unity. This dam was the vision of Sardar Patel. When one visits Statue of Unity this spot is included in the free list. There is a free bus ride upto this spot. A local guide explains the features of this dam. This dam also generates electricity. During night time it is lit up and provides an excellent facade. The students also had a spectacular view of this dam from the viewing gallery of Statue of Unity. Later\, they also explored the scenic beauty of the surrounding region\, including the Kevadiya Colony\, which is a newly developed township near the dam site. Later\, the tour culminated in the divine vibrations of the Nilkanth Dham\, Poicha\, Narmada river banks. \nOutcome of the activity/event: The students had an opportunity to observe and appreciate one of India’s engineering marvels and nearby imposing world’s tallest Statue of Unity\, in the midst of forested Rajpipla Hills. The students came to appreciate how the dam site has evolved into the leading tourist destination of the state. The same was presented as a study tour report\, along with maps\, sketches and photographs.

Arts College\nDetails of the Activity: A Nukkad Natak was performed by the S.Y. and T.Y. students of Political Science with a theme of Nasha Mukti – a very relevant topic to create awareness about the ill effects of substance abuse among the youth\, in college and educational institute. Through a street play it gave valuable insight and information about the ill effect of drugs. The play was very successfully applauded by the whole college whom the students performed very well and with great sensitivity.\nOutcome of the Activity/Event: It gave an important message to the youth of college and other institute about the ill effect of the use of drugs.

DESCRIPTION:Name of Department: GEOGRAPHY \nName of activity/event: Field Trip and Report Writing \nDate on which activity/event was conducted: 07/02/2019 \nProfessor (s) in-charge: K J Patel and Rajveer Sisodiya \nPlace where the activity was conducted: Sabar Dairy\, Himmatnagar and Indrasi Lake Polo Forest (Aravalli Hills)\, Harnav Dam\, Meshvo Dam\, Sarneshwar\, Vireshwar \nDetails of the activity: Our first destination was the Sabarkantha District Co-operative Milk Producers’ Union Limited\, popularly known as the Sabar Dairy\, Himmatnagar. Polo Forest situated around 150 km from Ahmedabad and 40 km from Idar city on the border of Gujarat and Rajasthan. River Harnav is main lifeline of Polo forest.\nThe 400 square km area of dry mixed deciduous forest is most lush between August to December. The landscape appeared a bit open on winter day. Ancient temples like Jain derasar\, Surya Mandir and Sarneshwar temple having rich heritage and architectural marvel are located inside forest. A small dam inside forest – Harnav dam on Harnav river is another attraction inside the forest. The students had a wonderful experience of trekking over the senile topography under cool winter conditions. \nOutcome of the activity/event: The students had an opportunity to observe the geographically varied topography and natural environment in the north-eastern corner of Gujarat State. The same was presented as a study tour report\, along with maps\, sketches and photographs.
